Gauri Khan’s appearance is limited to just a few episodes on the Netflix show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives but as per Bhavana Pandey, she is the “crux” of their friendship. Gauri, who is married to Shah Rukh Khan, and Bhavana, who is the wife of Chunky Panday, have shared a long friendship and their daughters Suhana Khan and Ananya Panday have grown up with each other. In a recent interview, Bhavana spoke about the positive influence of Shah Rukh on her kids and said that he would often train the kids in sports and is responsible for them learning how to be competitive in a healthy way.
Talking to Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube channel, Bhavana shared how Gauri fits into their group and said, “Gauri is the crux of our friendship. Because even though she can come across as the person who is the most disconnected, she is actually the most connected to each one of us. She may seem disinterested at times but actually, she is the one who makes the plans. We always end up meeting in her house. Even when the kids were growing up, because she had a garden we would all meet at her house, because the kids could play and run around. They had the space.”
When asked about the influence of Shah Rukh Khan on the children, Bhavana said, “There’s so much to learn from him. And I am actually very glad that the children spent so much time around him. Because it’s not about being Shah Rukh Khan, it’s how he has been as a father to Suhana, Aryan and now AbRam. And how he has been with my children. It’s been amazing.”
She added that Shah Rukh would often train Suhana, Ananya and Shanaya in sports. “Whatever free time he had, he wanted to train them, which was amazing. Sports, running, football, he used to do all the sports with the kids because I think he himself is a very active sporty person. Me and Chunky would get lazy for sports. Shah Rukh taught them the art of being competitive in a healthy manner which was beautiful and he used to always take their side over Aryan and the boys,” she shared.
Bhavana Pandey called Aryan Khan “one of the sweetest boys” who is “very well-mannered.” When asked if Aryan feels protective about his childhood friends, Bhavana said, “Shah Rukh has made these girls so strong so they can protect themselves.” She also added, “They are all friends, they have been friends since childhood and they all look out for each other, all of them.”
