I belong to a very normal family. You can say that I am a girl of old thoughts but of the new generation, who dreams big and has the potential to fulfil them. As a child, I was a dumb student and my brother was very bright. So, I was always compared to him. I was more into extracurricular activities but my school didn’t have any drama classes. But this one time when there was a play in our school, I performed really well. The principal at that time told me that I would be a superstar one day and it kept playing in my head. Everybody used to compare me to my brother but that one sentence gave me motivation.

Has featuring on Times Billboard changed your career?

My main journey started when I was featured on Times Billboard. It was a game changer for me both personally and professionally. I beat so many girls and won. I was competing with two more girls and both of them are now top actresses. So I competed with them and I beat them. I got Rs 10,00,000 but the biggest thing was that I got featured there. I got the blue tick after that and music videos, content creation and everything else started from there.

How did your life change after becoming famous?

I think I am the same. Fame hasn’t changed me but the perspective of people around me changed. There were seniors who didn’t participate in fashion shows for whatever reason. They felt I was not fit but now they come and tell me that they always knew I had something in me. I think when you are successful then people try to come close to you.

No. A director once told me that I am chalte-firte heroine. He said I am natural. I don’t think I have to act.

How are you as a person – calm or aggressive?

This will depend on the situation. If you try to mess with me, then I will get angry. I don’t get angry often and I don’t abuse. When I am angry, I have my own way of showing it. People will understand that from my face.

You will get both money and fame from this show. How will you use it?

I will save the money and I also want to sing. I also write so I want to invest in that. I just won’t let fame get to my head.
