Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who was on a two-day visit to New Delhi, gifted a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking to mediapersons in Mumbai, the CM said, “My visit to Delhi was to thank to BJP leaders for their support and role in Assembly polls in Maharashtra.”
Fadnavis presented statues of Lord Vitthal and Rukmini to President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar .
While he gifted Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he presented the statue of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who has often expressed his admiration for the Hindutva ideologue.
