Earlier today, actor Allu Arjun was arrested in connection with the stampede that took place during the premiere of Pushpa 2 on December 4 at Sandhya theatre in Hyderabad. The Rule’s release. The stampede claimed the life of 39-year-old Revathi and left her child critically injured. On Friday evening, Arjun was granted interim bail for four weeks by the Telangana High Court. And now, his film Pushpa 2 co-star Rashmika Mandanna has spoken against his arrest on social media.
Rashmika took to her Instagram account and shared a note. She wrote, “I can’t believe what I am seeing right now. The incident that happened was an unfortunate and deeply saddening incident. However, it is disheartening to see everything being blamed on a single individual. This situation is both unbelievable and heartbreaking (sic).”

Varun Dhawan was asked about his arrest at a promotional event of his upcoming movie Baby John. He said, “Safety protocols are not something that an actor can take on himself. We can tell people around us.” The actor cited the example of the theatre chain Cinepolis and said that they have made good arrangements for the film’s promotional event. “We are grateful to them for that. And the incident that took place is very painful. I feel very sorry and send my condolences. But at the same time, you can’t blame one person for this,” Varun told reporters.
Nani took to his X (formerly Twitter) account and shared a note slamming the government and media for their enthusiasm when it comes to anything connected to celebrities. He wrote, “I wish the kind of enthusiasm government authorities and media show in anything related to people from cinema was also there for the regular citizens. We would have lived in a better society.”

Besides Rashmika, Varun, and Nani, many actors including Sundeep Kishan and Nandamuri Balakrishna, among others, have also come out in support of Allu Arjun after his arrest.
What happened in that theater was horrible and unfortunate. A Mother lost her life.
But what’s happening today feels extremely harsh against @alluarjun garu.

Police had filed a case against the Sandhya theatre management, Allu Arjun, and his security team. Officers had said the police had no prior intimation that the film’s team would turn up for the premiere. Arjun was taken into custody on Friday by a team from Chikkadpally police station, where the case was registered.
