Pushpa 2 box office collection day 9: The industry is abuzz with the phenomenal success of director Sukumar’s Pushpa 2: The Rule. The film, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, has been shattering box office records ever since its debut a week ago. In its nine-day run, Pushpa 2 has raked in an impressive Rs 762.1 crore net in India, with its second Friday collections standing at a whopping Rs 36.25 crore net.
According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the film earned a significant Rs 27 crore in Hindi, Rs 7.5 crore in Telugu, Rs 1.35 crore in Tamil, and Rs 0.2 crore in Kannada and Malayalam. With these latest additions, the film’s total collection in India now stands at a staggering Rs 762.1 crore.
The film’s opening week was nothing short of spectacular, with a total collection of Rs 725.8 crore. The previews generated Rs 10.65 crore, while the opening day saw a staggering Rs 164.25 crore pouring in. Although the collections dipped slightly on the first Friday, Pushpa 2 rebounded strongly over the weekend, collecting Rs 119.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 141.05 crore on Sunday.
The fastest grossing film in India:
The film continues to enthrall audiences, it’s now eyeing the lifetime India business of Jr NTR and Ram Charan’s RRR, which stood at Rs 782.2 crore. Pushpa 2 has already become the fastest Indian movie to cross the Rs 1,000 crore milestone worldwide. According to the film’s banner, Mythri Movie Makers, the Allu Arjun starrer already earned Rs 1067 crore in its first week marking the highest first week gross ever in Indian cinema.

However, the film’s success has been marred by tragedy. A stampede at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during the premiere resulted in the death of one fan and left her son critically injured. Allu Arjun was subsequently arrested in connection with the case. The Telangana High Court has since granted Arjun a four-week interim bail.
