Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be contesting the upcoming Assembly elections from the New Delhi seat, the party confirmed Sunday as it released its fourth list of candidates.
The list also featured Chief Minister Atishi, who will be running from the Kalkaji seat. With this list, AAP has declared names for all 70 seats in the Capital.
In the fourth list, a total of 38 candidates have been announced, of which 36 are sitting MLAs. The list includes Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj from Greater Kailash, Gopal Rai from Babarpur, Somnath Bharti from Malviya Nagar, Durgesh Pathak from Rajinder and Imran Hussain from Ballimaran. Satyender Jain, who was in jail in a money laundering case will be running again from the Shakurbasti seat.

AAP has also given a ticket to Naresh Balyan’s wife Pooja Balyan from the Uttam Nagar seat. Balyan was arrested earlier this month for allegedly having links with gangster Kapil Sangwan. The party has also given the Mehrauli ticket to Naresh Yadav again. Yadav has recently been sentenced in the Quran Desecration case by a Punjab Court.
AAP, however, dropped its sitting MLA from Kasturba Nagar, Madan Lal, and gave the ticket to Ramesh Pehalwan, who joined the party on Sunday.
AAP had announced 11 candidates in the first list, 20 candidates in the second list and one candidate in the third list. The party has, so far, dropped 17 sitting legislators in the lists it has declared.
In the last Assembly polls, AAP had registered a landslide victory by winning 62 of the 70 seats, with the BJP getting the remaining 8.
