Delhi Farmers Protest Today News Updates: After a ‘jatha’ of 101 farmers was stopped by the Haryana police at the Shambhu border leading to the march being withdrawn, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher announced a ‘tractor march’ in states outside Punjab on Monday. Pandher also announced ‘Rail roko’ from 12 noon till 3 pm in Punjab on Wednesday. The march at the Shambhu border was also withdrawn after a few of the farmers were injured and hospitalised.
Earlier, the agitating farmers had made two attempts on December 6 and 8 which were thwarted by the Haryana security personnel who fired tear gas shells and used water cannons to disperse them. A total of 22 farmers were then injured. The Haryana government early Saturday suspended the internet services in the areas which fall within the jurisdictions of the Ambala district, beginning at 6 am till 11:59 pm on December 17, in view of the farmers’ march.

The list of 21 candidates includes current state president Devender Yadav, former ministers Jai Kishan and Haroon Yusuf, and ex-state unit president Chaudhary Anil Kumar, who filed the first criminal complaint against AAP leaders in the excise policy case.
