Amid the icy landscapes of the Antarctic Peninsula, an adorable moment between humans and a penguin has warmed hearts online. A video, shared on Instagram by Ciera Ybarra, shows a penguin, seemingly hesitant to push past, waiting for a couple to step aside, so that it can move ahead on the snowy trail.
In the clip, the little penguin, polite and determined, pauses momentarily before confidently continuing on its way as the couple moves aside.
Ybarra captioned the post, “When you’re too nervous to say excuse me and there is traffic. Captured on the Antarctic Peninsula.” In the comments, she shared more about her experience: “This video was captured while in Antarctica with @quarkexpeditions where we learned all about the animals on the Antarctic Peninsula and saw them in their natural habitats!”
