The Union Minister of Road Transport and Highway, Nitin Gadkari, has been advocating green mobility, and was recently seen with the newly launched electric SUVs from Mahindra stable – BE 6 and XEV 9E. The minister also shared the video on his Instagram account, checking out the vehicles. The SUVs have garnered some strong buzz for their features, and performance. In fact, the electric SUVs are competitively priced with the BE 6 range starting from Rs 18.90 lakh and XEV 9E starting from Rs 21.90 lakh onwards.
Talking of the XEV 9E, it stands at 4,789 mm in length. It gets a ground clearance of around 207 mm and offers a frunk space of 195L. Meanwhile, the trunk of the vehicle has a 663L at its disposal. On the other hand, the BE 6 has a length of 4,371 mm and a ground clearance of 207 mm. It also offers a boot space of 455L along with 45L storage in frunk.

As regards powertrains, both of these SUVs get a single-motor setup, powering the rear wheels. The SUVs get two battery pack options – 59 kWh and 79 kWh. The latter offers an ARAI-claimed range of 682 km on BE6 and 659 km on XEV 9E. The SUVs can be docked up via a 175 kW fast charger, filling the pack up to the brim in just around 20 minutes.

The SUVs are also loaded to the gills. They come equipped with Level 2 ADAS, multiple regen and driving modes, a Dolby Atmos sound system, and even an autonomous parking feature.
