Veteran actor Shabana Azmi has dismissed the rumours about her stepson Farhan Akhtar and his wife Shibani Dandekar‘s expecting their first child together. The speculation of her pregnancy started when a media report claimed that the duo was preparing to welcome a baby, creating a lot of buzz on social media. But, in a statement to Etimes, Shabana denied the claims, clarifying that there is no baby on the way for Farhan and Shibani right now. The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani actor said, “There’s no truth to it”.
Actor couple Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar recently found themselves in the headlines in the morning after rumours suggested they were expecting their first kid together, three years after getting married. The speculations sparked after Shibani was spotted after her gym session in Mumbai, on Thursday morning. Although, the couple is yet to release a statement regarding the rumours themselves.
Farhan and Shibani, who tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony in February 2022, have always been a tightlipped about their personal life. However, they keep sharing heartwarming moments on social media, showcasing their life together. For the unknown, Farhan already has two daughters, Shakya and Akira, with his ex-wife and hairstylist, Adhuna Bhabani. Meanwhile, Farhan is celebrating his 51st birthday today, January 9. He got several warm birthday wishes from cousin Farah Khan, who is also his birthday twin, and sister Zoya Akhtar among others on Instagram.
On the professional front, Farhan Akhtar is currently working on his next acting project – 120 Bahadur. It is set against the backdrop of the 1962 Indo-China war, and stars the actor-filmmaker as Major Shaitan Singh. It is a tribute to the soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment. 120 Bahadur is helmed by Razneesh Razy Ghai. He also has the highly-anticipated Don 3 in the pipeline as a director. The sequel will feature Ranveer Singh in the lead role, stepping in the shoes of superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
