The Karnataka Lokayukta police conducted raids at the residences of four government officials on Thursday and seized disproportionate assets worth Rs 26 crore. Among the officials raided was the managing director (MD) of Cauvery Neeravari Nigama Limited (CNNL) who was found to own 25 plots and 25 acres of agricultural land.
The raids were carried out in Bengaluru, Mandya and Chikkaballapura based on information from sources and a preliminary probe, officials said.
Mahesh, the MD of CNNL, Thippeswamy N K, Director of Town Planning and Country Planning in Bengaluru, Mohan K, Superintendent of Excise in the office of the Joint Commissioner of Excise in Bengaluru South, and Krishnaveni M C, Senior Geologist in Mangaluru, were the officials whose properties were raided.
