Mumbai News Live Updates: NCP president and Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar on Thursday arrived at the residence of NCP-SP chief Sharad Pawar in Delhi to wish him on his birthday. He was accompanied by his party colleagues RS MP Praful Patel, LS MP Sunil Tatkare, and Chhagan Bhujbal. This will be for the first time in several months that Ajit and Sharad, the estranged nephew and uncle duo, will be meeting each other in public knowledge. Ajit Pawar decided to join hands with Shinde-Fadnavis goverment along with more than 40 MLAs in July last year.
Parbhani violence: A team of Nanded police started patrolling in violence-hit Parbhani city on Wednesday night after a person in the city allegedly vandalised a glass-encased cement replica of the Constitution at the base of the statue of Dr B R Ambedkar outside Parbhani railway station, violent protests broke out in the district in Marathwada, nearly 500 km from Mumbai, leading to clamping of prohibitory orders by the administration.
How is the weather today? Mumbai experienced a maximum temperature of 22 degrees Celsius on Thursday, following the coldest December day in nearly a decade earlier this week. On Monday, the city recorded a low of 13.7 degrees Celsius, which is 5.6 degrees below the seasonal average. The temperature drop occurred just five days after residents faced a maximum temperature of 37.3 degrees Celsius on December 4, marking it as the hottest December day since 2008.
