Pushpa 2 box office collection day 8 early report: Allu Arjun-Rashmika Mandana starrer Pushpa: The Rule released in theatres last Thursday, and it is still going strong at the box office. The film has emerged as the highest grossing Indian film of 2024, collecting over Rs. 1000 crores worldwide within seven days of its release. After surpassing Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD’s lifetime collection (Rs 1,042.25 crore), Pushpa 2 has to beat Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 1,788.06 crore), RRR (Rs 1,230 crore), KGF: Chapter 2 (Rs 1,215 crore) Jawan (Rs 1,160 crore), and Dangal (2016), which earned Rs 2,070.3 crore globally, to become the all-time highest-grossing Indian film.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Pushpa 2 has garnered Rs 713.94 crore net in India across all languages till now. Worldwide, the movie has collected Rs 1067 crore so far, as per the makers. The film opened with a whooping Rs 164.25 crore. The opening weekend saw impressive numbers as the movie collected Rs 529 crore net, breaking multiple records. However, the collections started dipping over the weekdays, with Rs 64.45 crore on Monday, Rs 51.55 crore on Tuesday, and Rs 42 crore on Wednesday.

As of 8 pm on Thursday, Pushpa 2 had earned Rs 25.59 crore domestically. The film, however, saw a decline in occupancy at theatres. In the Telugu market, the movie has seen an overall occupancy rate of 19.13 per cent, with the morning occupancy at 14.41 per cent and the afternoon showing 23.85 per cent occupancy. The occupancy was somewhat similar in the Hindi market too as it showed an overall occupancy of 18.71 per cent, according to Sacnilk, with morning and afternoon shows at 12.72 per cent and 24.70 per cent, respectively.

Also featuring Fahadh Faasil, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Jagapathi Babu, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Rao Ramesh in pivotal roles, the film’s background score and soundtrack are composed by Devi Sri Prasad, with lyrics written by Chandrabose. Pushpa 2 also has additional background music composed by Sam CS.
