The Kapoor family celebrated the legendary Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary in a grand manner. After the family traveled to Delhi to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to join in the celebrations, they marked the occasion with a special event in Mumbai on Friday. Several videos and pictures of the event are being widely shared on social media. From Rekha blessing Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda to Saif Ali Khan appreciating Tiger Shroff’s biceps, the star-studded celebration witnessed many heartwarming moments.
Each member of the Kapoor family was wearing ethnic attire for the event. In a video shared on a paparazzi page on Instagram, Alia could be seen directing the guests to head towards a screening of Raj Kapoor’s iconic film Awaara. She said, “Which film is starting? Awaara! Who wants to go see Awaara? Please go.”

In two separate clips from the event, veteran star Rekha was seen hugging and talking to Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda, with a wide smile. She exchanged a heartwarming moment with Agastya, when she held his face to pay him a compliment, after which he bowed before her with folded hands.

It looked like Saif was in awe of Tiger Shroff’s muscular physique. The actor was stroking Tiger’s bicep and praising him with a smile. Tiger met both Saif and his wife, actor Kareena Kapoor Khan, with a warm hug, and conversed with them for a while.

The occasion witnessed many other special moments, such as Kartik Aaryan having a deep conversation with filmmaker Ayan Mukerji. Meanwhile, Aditya Roy Kapur met Kareena and Saif as he arrived for the gala event.
As a part of Raj Kapoor’s centenary celebrations, RK Films, the Film Heritage Foundation, and NFDC-National Film Archive of India joined hands to present Raj Kapoor 100 – Celebrating the Centenary of the Greatest Showman. This festival will feature screenings of 10 iconic Raj Kapoor films in 40 cities and 135 cinemas, including PVR-Inox and Cinepolis theaters. Tickets are priced at Rs 100.
