Yes, it indeed is. Unlike a Delhi metro card, where one has to maintain a minimum balance of Rs 50, there is no such condition on the Momentum 2.0 Delhi Sarthi. Once you sign up using a phone number, the app works like a digital wallet, which can be used to quickly purchase metro tickets, including multiple journey QR tickets. The app can also be used to rent a locker at metro stations to keep your valuables safe.
This app also acts like a one-stop shop for everything related to the Delhi metro, including the ability to locate the nearest metro station, check the first and last trains’ timings, and information about metro lines. The app also has maps of the Delhi metro network.
Not just that, recharging the wallet is also a fairly easy process. It can be done using a credit card, debit card, and UPI. However, do note that once a ticket is purchased, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.
