While Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule is making waves all over the country, the actor is under extreme scrutiny. With a stampede occurring during the benefit show of Pushpa 2, and resulting in the death of a woman named Revathi, and grievous injury to her son, Sri Tej, Allu Arjun has been charged for the same. He was arrested, and spent a night in the jail before being released on bail. However, Arjun now finds himself in the centre of a war of words with the Telangana police and the government. As a tipping point, members of the Osmania University-Joint Action Committee (OU JAC), barged into the residence of the star.
In a video doing the rounds, we can see the members of the OU JAC scaling the walls of the house, entering the compound. They pelted stones at the residence, and vandalised flower pots placed in the premises. This lead to an intense confrontation between the protesters and the security personnel at the Allu Arjun residence. They were protesting for justice to Revathi and her son Sri Tej, who is currently in the hospital undergoing intense treatment.
While Arjun, and team Pushpa 2 have constantly extended their support to the family, and promised to take care of the treatment, the star revealed that he has not met the family because of legal advice from his team due to the ongoing investigation. Following the stampede, the police registered a case against the actor, his security team, and the theatre management under the sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
